Project 1: Self Portrait

Miss Sherry explained to us about our self portrait project, we can freely portrait ourselves using any learned technique and using any media. For this project, I was thinking about drawing my self portrait digitally and cut it then turn it into collage.

I don't draw my face because I want to show that I'm not an easily open person. I rarely show people how I really feel. I draw myself holding a bag and stick a graphic paper as a background to show that I'm still a student.

I like playing music instruments since I was a kid, so I put the piano keys also. The movie projector and the cinema ticket in the upper right means that I really like going to the cinema and watch movies. In the upper left, you can see there's an umbrella and rain. I'm a pluviophile, which means I really like the rain.

The last thing, there's also a reason why I choose the colour dark blue, red, etc. It is because whenever I and my friends going to the mall and go window shopping, if they see that kind of colours or clothes that has similar colour, they always say that it is really represent me (it is so me). Whenever they see those kind of colours, they say that the colour has 'Chiquita's vibe'. They also say that it is my style of fashion.
